  • Alex became the faculty advisor for the Oregon Blockchain Group (OBG) in the spring of 2022. He is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Lundquist College of Business, where his research focuses on developing theoretical frameworks that explain how entrepreneurs and organizations mobilize resources, engage stakeholders, and coordinate activities. His work explores empirical and theoretical challenges related to technologically-driven phenomena such as decentralized organizations, disintermediated markets, and distributed online communities. His projects span various contexts, including crowdfunding, multi-sided platforms, blockchain-based firms, and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs).

  • Zack graduated from the Lundquist College of Business in 2022 and served as President of the Oregon Blockchain Group (OBG) during the 2020-22 school year. With a concentration in finance, he joined Oregon Blockchain to help connect more UO students with the potential of blockchain applications. Outside of academics, Zack is an avid sports fan and enjoys cheering for the New York Yankees. After graduating, he accepted a position as Chief of Staff at Collab+Currency, a venture capital firm focused on Web3.

  • Stephen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance, an Inman Research Scholar, and the Academic Director of the Cameron Center for Finance and Securities Analysis at the Lundquist College of Business. His expertise includes crypto assets, private equity, and corporate risk-taking, with his research published in top journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.

    Stephen earned his PhD from Purdue University, where he taught as a graduate student instructor. His professional background includes serving as a founding partner at Collab+Currency, a venture capital firm with offices in San Francisco and New York. He was also the CFO of a Napa Valley winery and co-founded Skyward, a commercial drone software company acquired by Verizon in 2017.

    Currently, Stephen is on a leave of absence from the university to focus on his venture capital firm.

  • Aaron graduated summa cum laude from the Lundquist College of Business in 2023 and served as President of Oregon Blockchain for the 2022-23 school year. With focuses in Finance and Economics, he is passionate about Web3's potential to coordinate resources, address the tragedy of the commons, and reduce financial and social frictions in complex systems. Under Aaron's leadership, the club introduced its first 'deliverable' program, enhancing member engagement through experiential learning. Outside of reading protocol whitepapers, Aaron enjoys playing soccer, hiking in the Pacific Northwest, and discussing philosophy. After graduation, he joined a still-in-stealth startup.

  • Izik is a Data Analyst at Rivermark Community Credit Union and serves as a Data Engineer/Developer for Oregon Blockchain Group members, helping them gather and query blockchain data. A self-taught tech enthusiast, he enjoys working on the infrastructure of distributed ledger technology. His primary focus is developing and maintaining data pipelines, creating custom ETL packages, and ensuring performant datasets for business intelligence outputs.
