2024 SPRING RECRUITMENT

Applications are OPEN for Spring 2024!

OBG does a recruiting cycle each term to give students the opportunity to join the group.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the application process. You can submit inquires to uo.blockchain@gmail.com.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

OBG wants students that are curious and hard working, who want to be apart of a competent team that is on the edge of emergent technology. The ideal candidate possesses advanced analytical and creative abilities and is able to perform in a team environment. Such a candidate will respond well to criticism, enjoy learning and mentor peers. It is important that candidates understand that the OBG is a significant time commitment and consider their availability before applying.

NEW MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

New members must attend and participate in our 6-week educational course that covers the basics of blockchain. Classes are held every Tuesday in the LCB at 5pm and attendance is mandatory (no exceptions). New members are welcome to attend the main meetings afterwards (at 6pm) and social events but it is not required. At the end of the term, new members will take a comprehensive exam or produce a mini deliverable to be presented in front of management to test the knowledge that they’ve gained. Upon completion, new members will begin contributing to various branches of the group in the following term.
